Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Refinery Chemical Technician to support Downstream Chemicals operations in Detroit, MI. You will manage refinery process operations, chemical inventories, sampling, and reporting to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance for our customers.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1+ year experience in refining or industrial settings, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. TWIC card or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in refining, petrochemical or industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers.
• Managing chemical inventories, chemical deliveries, field sampling, laboratory testing, injection system maintenance and reporting.
• Supporting the development and installation of new systems and designs to apply our chemical products and technologies.
• Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers.
• Identifying and coordinating numerous projects to support the application of our chemicals and programs in the field.
• Monitoring and maintaining existing programs for customers to provide reporting on performance of applications with basic data and information.
• Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers.
