Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, is recruiting a Downstream Operator in Lubbock, TX. The role involves operating manufacturing lines, using measuring devices, ensuring reel quality, and adhering to safety and process controls.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Basic math, measurement and reading comprehension skills.
• Experience with measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.
• Material handling or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and measuring devices to ensure the final product meets specifications and to catch abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
• Ensure neat wraps on reels.
• Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
• Monitor print and footage, and make corrections as needed.
• Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
• Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
• Assist the Line Operator during start-ups and support operators with cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and broken equipment.
