Job summary

Johnson Service Group in West Point, PA is seeking an Engineer - I (Assistant) to support downstream bioprocess purification operations and contribute to cutting-edge projects in a collaborative environment.

You’ll engage in tangential flow filtration and adjuvant/LNP processing, maintain meticulous notebooks and data management, and assist with process scale-up and tech transfer as part of a dynamic biopharma team.

Qualifications

• Experience with adjuvant and LNP processing is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with tangential flow filtration (microfiltration/ultrafiltration).
• Strong understanding of downstream bioprocess purification and large molecule operations.
• Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques: pipetting, buffer prep, filtration, dilution, and stoichiometry.
• Ability to document lab work meticulously in notebooks and data management systems.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present scientific data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing and refining complex biological molecules using state-of-the-art techniques such as tangential flow filtration and adjuvant/LNP processing.
• Support laboratory operations, ensure precise data recording, and contribute to process scale-up efforts, helping to drive forward our cutting-edge bioprocessing initiatives.
