Lundbeck, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on brain health, is seeking a Development Associate I in Downstream Process Development in Washington. The role involves purifying proteins for downstream processes, collaborating with downstream and upstream teams, and delivering clear experimental summaries.

You will perform LC and tangential flow filtration, prepare samples, and support cross-functional activities, while maintaining a safe, organized lab and communicating progress regularly.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline as listed.
• Foundational knowledge of chromatography, filtration, protein chemistry.
• Familiarity with lab meters and common equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take ownership and work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Perform downstream process development experiments for monoclonal antibody purification.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and process development studies.
• Maintain organized, safe lab environment and communicate progress to teammates.
• Prepare summaries, presentations and reports of results.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field

Foundational knowledge: chromatography, membrane filtration, protein chemistry

Experience with AKTA chromatography systems and UNICORN software

Exposure to pilot/ manufacturing-scale biotech operations

Experience in protein purification or downstream processing
