Job summary
Salamander Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to support field installation, commissioning, and servicing of downhole heater systems and related surface electrical equipment. This hands-on role requires on-site presence and oilfield electrical expertise.
Responsibilities include installing LV/MV equipment, starting up systems, supervising MV splicing, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance while traveling 30–60% domestically and internationally
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of oil & gas electrical field experience.
- Experience with control panels, switchgear, PLC and/or SCR systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission LV/MV equipment (HCU, transformers, junction boxes, cabling).
- Support system startup and commissioning activities.
- Oversee or support MV splicing and terminations.
- Troubleshoot recurring electrical issues and implement field solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled testing.
- Provide on-site technical guidance to customers and field crews.
- Contribute to improving field procedures and equipment reliability.
