Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a registered nurse with leadership experience to oversee patient care within the facility. The role emphasizes adherence to standards, physician orders, and center policies while actively engaging in infection control and quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will guide patient education, coordinate with other departments on changes, and ensure accurate identification and placement of patients in appropriate programs.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed RN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice per standards and physician orders.
• Assists in infection control and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participates in patient education and family education.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes and admissions/discharges.
• Utilizes manuals to identify and monitor patients in appropriate programs.

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
