Qualifications

• Experience operating a Double Forklift or Double Reach Forklift.
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift safely in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Double Forklift/Double Reach Forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials.
• Transport pallets and products throughout the warehouse and designated work areas.
• Safely place and retrieve pallets from warehouse racking at various heights.
• Load and unload trailers, trucks, and delivery vehicles.
• Accurately stage products according to production, shipping, or warehouse requirements.
• Move materials between storage, production, shipping, and receiving areas.
• Inspect forklift equipment before each shift and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Follow proper forklift operating procedures and all company safety policies.
• Maintain proper awareness of pedestrians, equipment, racks, and other obstacles while operating the forklift.
• Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when needed, including organizing, cleaning, staging, and material handling.
• Verify product quantities, pallet labels, and locations when moving or storing materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company procedures regarding safety, productivity, quality, and attendance.
• Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $19 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Double Forklift Driver:

• Safely operate a Double Forklift/Double Reach Forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials.

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Previous Double Forklift/Double Reach Forklift experience required.
• Recent warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse environment.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow all workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the warehouse.
• Ability to climb on and off forklift equipment safely.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures and noise levels may vary.
• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Safety Requirements
• Safety is a critical part of this position. The Double Forklift Driver must:
• Complete required forklift safety training.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow designated travel paths and warehouse safety procedures.
• Maintain safe operating speeds and proper clearance.
• Yield to pedestrians and other powered industrial equipment.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment damage, or workplace incidents to management
• Backgound check and drug test required
