Job summary

Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Safety Supervisor to champion safety initiatives, ensure DOT regulatory compliance, and enhance our safety culture across the fleet. You will mentor drivers, oversee documentation, and conduct investigations to uphold safe operations.

Lead safety programs, manage DOT licensing and drug/alcohol compliance, and deliver impactful safety messages and training in collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; associate degree or relevant experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of transportation safety administration experience with DOT knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TMW, and telematics systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership and organizational abilities to manage multiple safety initiatives.
• Commitment to excellence in safety, compliance, and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor drivers through safety assessments and improvement plans.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations and reporting.
• Promote driver safety engagement and incentive programs.
• Administer DOT licensing, exams, and compliance documentation.
• Oversee DOT Drug and Alcohol program compliance.
• Assist in driver hiring, training, onboarding, and road testing.
• Represent safety interests within the community and with management.
• Develop and deliver safety messages, policies, and training materials.
• Assist in vehicle registrations, permits, and safety audits.

About The Role

Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Safety Supervisor to champion safety initiatives, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and enhance our safety culture. In this role, you will mentor drivers, oversee compliance documentation, and conduct investigations to uphold our commitment to safe and secure operations. Your leadership will play a crucial role in fostering a proactive safety environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Driver Coaching & Development – Mentor and guide drivers through safety assessments, evaluations, and targeted improvement plans.
• Incident Investigations – Conduct thorough investigations and detailed reporting for accidents, injuries, and safety incidents.
• Safety Engagement & Programs – Promote driver engagement through proactive safety initiatives, appreciation activities, and incentive programs.
• Regulatory Compliance – Administer DOT licensing, examinations, and compliance documentation to ensure full regulatory adherence.
• Drug & Alcohol Program Oversight – Manage the DOT Drug and Alcohol program, ensuring compliance with all testing requirements.
• Support Hiring & Training – Assist in driver hiring, training, onboarding, and road testing to ensure competency and adherence to safety policies.
• Community Safety Representation – Serve as a company liaison, promoting the safety of Benore's driving operations within the community.
• Safety Communications – Develop and deliver impactful safety messages, policies, and training materials in collaboration with management.
• Audit & Documentation Management – Assist in the administration of vehicle registrations, permits, and internal/external safety audits.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; Associate’s degree or relevant experience considered.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation safety administration with knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TMW, and telematics systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership & Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, oversee compliance initiatives, and promote a culture of safety.
