Job summary

Day or night shifts, overtime, and weekends may be required. Primary duties include safety assessments, brake and emissions checks, documentation, and reporting findings to fleet managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive certification preferred.
• CDL is preferred; clean driving record advantageous.
• Relevant experience with DOT inspections or vehicle maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT inspections/repairs of commercial vehicles per federal and state regs.
• Perform safety checks: brakes, emissions, tires; document findings.
• Identify issues and communicate with fleet managers and drivers.
• Coordinate travel schedules to cover assigned regions; stay updated on regulations.
• Provide guidance on safety procedures and compliance to drivers.
