6 Degrees Search seeks a seasoned Heavy Civil Estimator to join its preconstruction team in the Atlanta metro area. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil infrastructure and site development projects, focusing on earthwork, utilities, drainage, paving, and related work.

The role requires reviewing plans, quantities, and bids; performing takeoffs; analyzing labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs; and collaborating with operations during bid turnover.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and bid packages.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop project cost estimates.
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare bid proposals, estimate summaries, clarifications, and exclusions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project reviews.
• Collaborate with operations teams during bid turnover and project startup.
• Identify project risks, cost exposures, and opportunities.
