Job summary

WW Clyde, a respected heavy civil contractor, seeks a Project Manager – DOT Heavy Highway to lead planning, execution, and closeout of Nebraska, Wyoming & Colorado transportation projects with emphasis on white paving.

You will ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest safety and quality standards while cultivating client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities in the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive heavy highway construction project management experience, including DOT and paving contracts.
• Proven track record with Federal Contracts and DOT specifications.
• Strong estimating and pit exploration experience in collaboration with Area Managers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, and proposals to develop estimates for time, materials, equipment, labor, and production.
• Set project objectives, policies, and standards per WW Clyde PM guide.
• Oversee onsite Superintendents to keep work safe, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage contract financials, including fees, equipment rentals, income/expenses, and margins.
• Review QC/QA reports and coordinate with quality teams to optimize production.
• Coordinate with clients, DOT reps, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain relationships.
• Identify project risks and implement prompt corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and DOT regulations.
• Assist in developing new business opportunities; participate in client meetings and labor strategy sessions.
