Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking an HR Operations & Compliance Specialist to administer DOT compliance programs and HR operational processes. The role acts as DER under DOT regulations (FRA, FMCSA, FTA) and coordinates drug/alcohol testing, background checks, and pre-employment screenings.

The position supports HR operations, vendor coordination, and compliance documentation, ensuring accurate reporting and confidential handling of records across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, psychology, business or related field.
• 4+ years in HR operations, compliance, or related role with knowledge of DOT rules.
• Knowledge of federal/state employment laws and audit practices.
• Experience with DER responsibilities and DOT compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as DER and coordinate DOT drug/alcohol testing with service agents.
• Support HR operations including vendor coordination and process documentation.
• Prepare compliance reports for audits and customers via ISN.
• Manage pre-employment compliance, background checks, and medical exams.
• Maintain confidential HR records and assist with SOPs and HR process improvements.
