Job summary

MB HAYNES Corporation, based in Asheville, NC, seeks a reliable Truck Driver to support streetlight projects and utilities work. You will drive to sites, unload materials, and assist with trenching, conduit placement, and pole foundations.

Safety-minded individuals with a valid CDL and DOT medical card will thrive here. Background checks and drug screening are required; team players with strong attendance are essential for successful field operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid Class A or B CDL and current DOT physical.
• Previous signal/lighting experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge and experience safely operating construction equipment.
• Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, inspectors, customers, and the public.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks to and from job sites and unload structural members.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of streetlights, traffic signals, power lines, and related facilities.
• Assist with digging trenches, placing underground conduits and junction boxes, tamping and restoring trench areas, and pouring concrete for pole foundations.
• May trim trees and clear undergrowth along right-of-way.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites safely and work with the crew to complete work orders safely.

Position Summary:

Drive trucks to & from job sites, unload structural members of tower & electrical hardware from trucks. Assist in the installation, maintenance, & repair of streetlights, traffic signals, power lines, and related facilities. Also responsible for assisting with digging trenches, placing underground conduits and junction boxes, tamping and restoring trench areas, digging and pouring concrete for pole foundations, and embedding loop detectors. May trim trees & clear undergrowth along right-of-way. Must be able to work safely around trenchers, backhoes, track hoes, plows, line trucks, bucket trucks, bobcat loaders, etc. Transport equipment to & from job sites safely. Assist the crew on the ground to complete work orders safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid Class A or B CDL and current valid DOT physical required.
