Position Details:

This position reports to the Radiation Oncology Clinic Chief Physicist and involves treatment planning, calculations, quality assurance, constructing custom blocks, patient measurements, consulting with physicians and therapists, and maintaining quality control.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the MDCB or eligibility after completing an JRCERT-accredited program in Medical Dosimetry.
Responsibilities:
  • Design patient treatment plans and perform dose calculations.
  • Consult with physicians and therapists to verify patient information and calculations.
  • Collaborate with staff to assess and improve treatments.
  • Share results with supervisors as appropriate.
  • Assist with patient setup at treatment machines or simulators.
  • Complete records, data forms, planning documents, and billing logs.
  • Check patient charts for accuracy and documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.
