Department: ICE | CASL CA ROC Radiation Dosimetrist

Summary of Job Duties:

This position reports directly to the Radiation Oncology Clinic Chief Physicist and is responsible for providing treatment planning, calculations, quality assurance planning, constructing custom blocks, taking measurements, consulting with physicians and therapists, and maintaining quality control.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) or eligible after completion of JRCERT accredited program in Medical Dosimetry
Responsibilities include:
  • Designing patient treatment plans and performing dose calculations
  • Consulting with physicians and therapists
  • Collaborating to assess and improve treatments
  • Sharing results with supervisors
  • Assisting with patient set-up procedures
  • Completing records and documentation
  • Ensuring safety guidelines are followed
  • Participating in research and quality improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
