Job summary

Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, near Gallatin, TN, seeks a Medical Dosimetrist to join our radiation oncology team. You will design treatment plans and ensure accurate dose calculations with the medical physicist.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• CMD credential and ARRT (T) registration preferred within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops a treatment plan using computer and/or manual calculations with the medical physicist.
• Performs dose calculations and ensures accurate charting and data recording.
• Instructs technical staff on implementing the treatment plan.
• Assists in planning shielding devices and beam modifiers with the Medical Physicist.
• Assists in evaluating purchase requests for radioactive materials or radiation equipment.
• Maintains daily treatment records and charges in the system.
