Job summary

Aleut Federal, LLC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee Dorm Coordinators and Residential Advisors in a program serving youth ages 16–24. You will supervise living conditions, coordinate activities, and ensure safety and positive development aligned with Job Corps standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma, at least one year with youth, and preferred dormitory management or supervisory experience. CPR/First Aid/AED certification and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience working with youth and young adults.
• Prefer one year of experience in dormitory management or work-related field with at-risk youth.
• Prefer Job Corps experience and one year of supervisory experience.
• Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control group living conditions, evaluate situations, make decisions, and ensure a safe, clean dormitory environment.
• Perform administrative duties such as passes, leaves, evaluations, progress, emergencies, and terminations; attend required trainings.
• Assist students in adjusting to Center life and developing social skills for employment and career planning.
• Communicate with students' families as required to ensure well-being.
• Coordinate dormitory activities, recreation, competitions, and dorm court for social development.
• Schedule residential staff and substitutes to ensure adequate coverage.
• Train and supervise staff; provide performance input to management for appraisal.
• Serve as a communication channel between Supervisors, Dorm Coordinators, and Residential staff.
• Maintain dormitory cleanliness and readiness for inspections; requisition supplies as needed.
• Coordinate student dormitory government activities and visits to counselors.
• Assist Recreation Department with activities and coverage; align career prep goals with staff.
• Support center behavioral management and zero-tolerance policy; document progress reviews.
