Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. at Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking a Dorm Supervisor to lead our residential team, ensure a safe, structured dorm, and support student growth at the center. You will mentor students, coordinate with counseling staff, and uphold center standards in a dynamic, hands-on role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of Job Corps experience or related youth development/residential/educational/workforce program experience.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and structured dormitory environment.
• Supporting student growth, retention, achievement, and overall success.
• Supervising and leading residential staff to ensure quality student support.
• Building positive relationships with students while encouraging accountability and personal responsibility.
• Using sound judgment to resolve student and staff concerns professionally and effectively.
• Partnering with counseling staff to provide individualized case management and support student success.
• Promoting a positive residential culture where students feel respected, supported, and motivated.
• Conducting dorm inspections and ensuring compliance with center standards.
• Serving as a mentor who helps students develop life skills, leadership abilities, and confidence.

Schedule

• Sunday and Monday off
• Tuesday‑Saturday 3pm – 12am

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of Job Corps experience or experience in a related youth development, residential, educational, or workforce program

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited institution
• Valid in‑state driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Demonstrates the ability to lift 40pounds and/or ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
