Job description

Now Hiring - Dorm Supervisor at Glenmont Job Corps Center.

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 3p-12a; Friday and Saturday OFF.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and structured dormitory environment
  • Supporting student growth, retention, achievement, and overall success
  • Supervising and leading residential staff to ensure quality student support
  • Building positive relationships with students while encouraging accountability and personal responsibility
  • Using sound judgment to resolve student and staff concerns professionally and effectively
  • Partnering with counseling staff to provide individualized case management and support student success
  • Promoting a positive residential culture where students feel respected, supported, and motivated
  • Conducting dorm inspections and ensuring compliance with center standards
  • Serving as a mentor who helps students develop life skills, leadership abilities, and confidence
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of Job Corps experience or experience in a related youth development, residential, educational, or workforce program
  • Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • Valid in-state driver’s license (preferred)
  • Physical requirements: able to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch; demonstrate ability to lift 40 lb and/or assess lift load and request assistance when needed
