Coastal Alabama Community College seeks a Security Officer - Support Services to monitor dorms, supervise student gatherings, and oversee camera feeds to maintain safety across campus. The role supports College Police and Housing staff and may involve shifts day, evening, and weekends.

Requirements include a high school diploma, basic computer skills (Outlook/Word/Excel), CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and strong customer service and communication abilities.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidential information, prioritize duties, and remain calm in volatile situations.
• Knowledge and ability to operate police radio equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a security log of events on duty.
• Monitor security camera systems.
• Report violations of law and college/dorm policy violations to College Police.
• Report complaints from dorm residents to the proper authority.
• Assist with College Police investigations as needed.
• Assist with evacuations.
• Check visitors in and out according to policy.
• Confirm doors are secure and report deficiencies to maintenance.
• Assist with reporting hazards and emergency notifications to dorm residents.
• Work closely with Police Officers and Housing staff.
