Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must undergo and meet background and reference checks.
• Must have reliable means of communication and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; SORA certification required within 2 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides mobile and stationary patrol to project a security presence and maintain communications.
• Checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings and grounds.
• Protects life and safeguards property; enforces college rules and regulations.
• Prepares patrol logs and incident reports; records information in computer systems.
• Responds to incidents (fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, etc.) following established procedures.
