Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking an Estimator to lay the foundation for project success by delivering accurate cost estimates across commercial construction projects. You will analyze plans, identify resource needs, and support competitive bids, contributing to growth within a respected FBM family company.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, maintaining cost databases, and presenting data for internal and client reviews.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent construction experience.
• Two years in the construction industry focusing on Doors, Frames, Hardware, and Specialties.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, EPWS).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate scopes of work and detailed cost estimates.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements to support competitive and complete bid packages.
• Develop cost-effective and labor-efficient schedules for project execution.
• Maintain and update cost databases for accuracy and future reference.
• Present estimates by compiling and summarizing numerical and descriptive data for internal and client review.
• Maintain discrepancies by collecting and analyzing finished quotes before handing to Sales.
