Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support commercial construction projects across North America. You will analyze blueprints and proposals to create accurate cost estimates and determine labor, material, and time requirements for bids.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sales and operations to ensure competitive quotes, maintain cost databases, and develop efficient schedules.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent with construction industry experience.
Two years in construction with emphasis in Doors, Frames, Hardware, and Specialties.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam and EPWS.

Responsibilities

Estimate Preparation & Analysis: analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals to prepare accurate scopes of work and detailed cost estimates.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements to support bid packages.
Develop cost-effective, labor-efficient schedules for project execution.
Maintain and update cost databases for accuracy and future reference.
Present estimates by compiling data for internal and client review.
