Job summary

OBE is seeking an assembler to build doors and frames within the Fabrication Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates exceptional attention to safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability in a manufacturing environment.

You will read specifications, use hand and power tools, measure parts, and inspect quality, with opportunities for training, raises, and bonuses under a pay-for-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Experience using power tools, machinery, and reading a tape measure (to 1/16”).
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and perform basic math.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with peers and management; flexible to work varied schedules and cross-train as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Perform general fabrication and assembly of doors using hand and power tools.
• Drill holes and prepare materials according to work orders, fabrication sheets, and schedules.
• Measure workpiece dimensions and conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure parts meet specifications by following prints, worksheets, and shop drawings while completing tasks with minimal supervision.
