Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a 2nd shift fabrication associate in Fort Mill, SC to cut rails, stiles, and door components according to printed schedules and chart specifications. You will measure, set up, and verify components with precision to 32nd of an inch, and perform routine tool maintenance.

Qualifications

• Advanced fractional math and sizing rails/stiles per specs.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform precise cuts.
• High attention to detail and quality checks throughout process.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Highlight/identify rails, stiles, & door components requiring cutting on printed schedule.
• Measure and set-up rails, stiles, & door components to cut to width and length per chart specs.
• Know all rails, stiles, & door components and door construction specs.
• Cut and handle components, use tape measure to 32nd of an inch.
• Validate accuracy before/after cuts and ensure correct count per schedule.
• Cut back floor report for inventory adjustments daily.
• Maintain saws and perform routine tool changes; lockout/tag out procedures.
• Operate forklift to move rails, stiles, & door components.
