Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking a professional, service-focused Door Attendant Reliever to join our Front Office team. This role covers scheduled shifts, breaks and other relief assignments to ensure a smooth arrival and departure experience for guests.

The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, and comfortable working in a busy urban hotel environment, with strong guest service and communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief coverage for Door Attendants during breaks, lunches, and other assignments.
• Welcome guests upon arrival and offer a professional farewell at departure.
• Open doors for guests, visitors and colleagues as assigned.
• Assist with guest flow at the entrance and front drive.
• Direct guests to Bell, Concierge, Front Desk, or Transportation teams.
• Assist guests with taxis, rideshare, private transport, and valet coordination.
• Monitor front entrance for safety, cleanliness and service opportunities.
• Provide information about the hotel and San Francisco points of interest.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming front drive and lobby perimeter.
• Report guest needs, VIP arrivals, or security concerns to relevant departments.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking a professional, polished, and service-focused Door Attendant Reliever to join our Front Office team. This position supports the hotel’s arrival and departure experience by covering scheduled shifts, breaks, lunches, and other relief assignments as needed.

The Door Attendant Reliever plays an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient front entrance experience for guests, while supporting hotel operations in accordance with CBA guidelines and the scope of the position. The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy urban hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide relief coverage for Door Attendants during breaks, lunches, scheduled time off, and other assigned coverage needs.
• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide a professional farewell upon departure.
• Open hotel and vehicle doors for guests, visitors, and colleagues as assigned.
• Assist with guest arrival and departure flow at the hotel entrance and front drive.
• Direct guests to the appropriate hotel colleagues for bell, concierge, front desk, or transportation assistance.
• Assist guests with taxis, rideshare vehicles, private transportation, valet coordination, and directions as assigned.
• Maintain awareness of traffic flow, curbside activity, hotel entrance conditions, and guest safety.
• Provide accurate information about the hotel, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, transportation, and San Francisco points of interest.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front drive, entrance, lobby doors, and surrounding public areas.
• Monitor the front entrance for safety, cleanliness, and service opportunities.
• Communicate guest needs, VIP arrivals, special requests, security concerns, or operational issues to the appropriate department.
• Assist with crowd control, group arrivals, and high-volume periods as assigned.
• Work closely with bell attendants, valet, front desk, concierge, security, housekeeping, and other hotel departments.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, service, and union work assignment guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other guest service duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

• Previous hotel, door attendant, bell, valet, guest service, or customer service experience preferred.
