Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an entry-level Assembler to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. The role involves assembling parts, following simple instructions, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

No formal education or experience is required; carpentry background is helpful. Overtime may be involved as production needs change. This position offers hands-on training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing simple instructions; verbal presentation in small groups.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; read measurements.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
