Job summary

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Hoxworth Blood Center is hiring a Donor Services Assistant Field Manager at the West Location (Glenway Ave). This full-time onsite role supports the Field Manager in overseeing donor services operations, staff, and quality assurance to ensure efficient donor flow and high service levels.

The ideal candidate has a healthcare management background, 4 years phlebotomy experience, automated collection proficiency, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree must be in healthcare management or related field.
• Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
• Must be Automation Red Cell and Automated Platelet trained.
• Four (4) years related phlebotomy experience; proficient in all automated collections (>95% success).

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations to ensure high quality customer service and QA; evaluate recruitment and collection goals to reach targets.
• Perform special donation procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and SOPs.
• Serve as process improvement liaison; collect and report data; participate in QA teams.
• Act as role model through professionalism for donor services staff.
• Assist administration with implementing organizational changes.
• Provide training to donor services staff; assign work; ensure proper workflow; act as lead worker.
• Serve as site supervisor in the absence of the Field Manager.
• May supervise exempt/non-exempt staff (hiring/firing, evaluations, disciplinary actions).
• Perform related duties as needed; job description may change.
