Job summary

Fisk University is seeking a Development Coordinator to support stewardship, communications, data management, events, and operational functions within the Development and Alumni Affairs Office. The role reports to the Senior Director of Development and collaborates with campus partners, donors, alumni, and volunteers to execute departmental priorities with high-quality execution.

The position requires strong organization, responsiveness, initiative, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years nonprofit administration or development support experience.
• Experience utilizing a CRM system or donor database.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donor, alumni, and constituent records in the donor management system.
• Process gifts, pledges, contact reports, and constituent activity accurately.
• Generate reports, mailing lists, donor lists, event lists for fundraising and engagement.
• Ensure data integrity through regular records maintenance.
• Support stewardship tracking, project coordination, and departmental reporting.
• Prepare donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship communications.
• Coordinate donor recognition activities and meeting materials.
• Support event logistics and post-event follow-ups.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical development records.
• Collaborate with team to support institutional goals.
