Job description

Every Gift Has the Power to Rewrite a Child’s Story

Some roles do more than build careers; they change lives.

Our client believes that every child, no matter where they are born, deserves safety, learning, mentorship, and the hope of a better future. For orphans and vulnerable children across the globe, hope often arrives through the generosity of someone they’ve never met. Someone who believes their story still has chapters worth writing.

Our client is looking for an Annual Gifts Manager/Donor Relations Manager who wants their work to matter on a life-changing scale. If you have a passion to empower orphans and vulnerable children through community programs, education, mentorship, and human-trafficking prevention initiatives, then this role is for you. Our client partners with local leaders, donors, and volunteers to bring stability, dignity, and opportunity to children who often feel invisible.

As their impact expands, with new Community Impact Centers, deeper mentoring programs, and education initiatives spanning continents, they are growing their development team to match that vision. This is so much more than fundraising. This is a chance to help rewrite the future for thousands of children.

The Role: Annual Gifts Manager

We’re searching for a relationship-driven, mission-oriented professional who sees fundraising as a calling. Someone who understands that generosity isn’t solicited; it’s inspired. In this role, you will build and steward a portfolio of 200-300 donors and prospects across Dallas, TX. You’ll connect them to the heart of the mission through stories, experiences, and authentic relationships that lead to transformational giving.

If you thrive on connecting people to purpose, are energized by meaningful conversations, and want your work to go far beyond a donor meeting, this role may be where your talent meets actual impact.

What You Will Do
Build & Grow Major Donor Relationships
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of donors capable of giving $10,000+ annually
  • Cultivate authentic relationships rooted in trust, shared values, and storytelling
  • Conduct discovery visits and identify new high-capacity givers across DFW
  • Align donor passions with the critical initiatives
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and impact updates
  • Solicit major gifts that expand mentoring programs, education access, and Community Impact Centers
Engage, Steward & Celebrate Donors
  • Design thoughtful touchpoints: in-person visits, calls, handwritten notes, small gatherings
  • Host or support private donor events, home gatherings, church conversations, and partner experiences
  • Collaborate with Communications and Events to bring the mission to life
Collaborate Across the Globe
  • Work with leadership and international partners to shape donor trips, stories, and impact reporting
  • Use Bloomerang CRM to manage moves, capture insights, and maintain donor accountability
What You Bring
  • 3–5+ years in nonprofit fundraising or major donor engagement
  • Experience securing gifts of $10,000+
  • A strong Dallas network and a passion for expanding it
  • Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling abilities
  • High emotional intelligence, integrity, and follow-through
  • Curiosity, humility, and a drive to help donors make their most meaningful impact
  • Experience with a CRM (Bloomerang ideal)
  • Ability to travel locally throughout DFW and occasionally internationally

Preferred: Experience in international, child-focused, or faith-aligned nonprofits.

Why This Role Matters

Every conversation you lead…

Every story you share…

Every donor you inspire…

…becomes a turning point in a child’s life.

Your work will help build new Community Impact Centers, expand mentorship programs, prevent trafficking, strengthen families, and open doors to education. You will stand in the gap for children who cannot ask for help themselves.

While donor development is the core of the role, it is so much more than that. This role is purpose in motion and transformation of a child. This is a chance to bring light into the places where it is most needed.
