Job summary

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation in New York seeks a Manager of Membership to support operations, fundraising, and donor relations for Membership and Annual Fund initiatives.

You will work under the Director of Membership and Annual Fund to drive renewal, upgrades, and acquisitions, manage donor portfolios, and plan collaborative membership events across departments. Hybrid schedule offered, with a focus on inclusive fundraising strategies.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of development experience in fundraising or cultural institutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of people within and outside the museum and professionally represent the institution.
• Ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Membership and Advancement to achieve and exceed annual fundraising goals, while advancing diversity, equity, access, inclusion and sustainability goals.
• Assist Director, Membership and Annual Fund with renewal, upgrade and acquisition efforts across Membership and Annual Fund solicitations via mail, email, and digital ads.
• Assist in setting Membership revenue strategy as well as program analysis, evaluation, and reporting.
• Manage a portfolio of donors in moves management and collaborate on campaigns such as Planned Giving.
• Serve as primary contact for Membership events, coordinating with Marketing, Security, Theater, Lighting, Registrar, Restaurant Associates, Curatorial, and Conservation.
• Work with Membership Associates to ensure excellent customer service and fulfilment of membership benefits.
• Support front-line Visitor Experience and retail staff in selling memberships and responding to on-site inquiries.
• Track departmental income/expenses, review invoices, and coordinate cost estimates with vendors.
• Supervise a Membership intern seasonally.
• Maintain database records, prepare meeting agendas, and provide administrative support.
• Assist leadership with stewardship and special projects as needed.
