Job summary

Catholic Charities New Hampshire is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to support the New Hampshire Food Bank's Development Team. This frontline role focuses on building authentic donor connections, managing a portfolio of donors capable of $5,000+ annually, and guiding personalized strategies to grow major gifts.

You will collaborate with leadership, staff, volunteers, and partners to communicate impact, prepare tailored proposals, and steward gifts through upgrades and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 2–4 years in fundraising or relationship management; major gifts preferred.
• Experience with donor management systems; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT is a plus.
• Passion for the Food Bank's mission and hunger relief in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 125–150 major gift donors and prospects.
• Build authentic donor relationships through in-person visits, calls, and events.
• Develop strategies to cultivate, solicit, steward, retain, and upgrade gifts.
• Secure major gifts supporting annual priorities and campaigns.
• Identify new prospects including mid-level donors for advancement.
• Prepare tailored impact updates and donor communications.
