Job summary

Humane Society of Northeast Georgia in Gainesville, GA, is seeking a Donor Relations Manager (hybrid). You will lead CRM administration, drive grant writing, and steward a portfolio of mid‑level donors, grants, and direct mail initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Major Gifts, you will manage one direct report and collaborate with philanthropy and marketing to maximize revenue and community impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in nonprofit development, operations, or data management.
• Proven CRM Mastery: You have “Sr Admin” level experience (Bloomerang, GiveSmart, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc.).
• Grant Success: A track record of writing and securing grants (experience with animal welfare grants is a major plus).
• Leadership Potential: Previous experience managing a person, an intern, or a significant project team.
• Attention to Detail: You’re the person who catches typos and ensures donor name accuracy.

Responsibilities

• CRM Administrator duties: maintain data integrity, dashboards, and timely gift acknowledgments.
• Grant Writing & Management: research, write, submit, and report on grants with deadlines.
• Community Engagement & Mid-Level Fundraising: grow donor portfolio, secure sponsorships, manage partnerships.
• Leadership & Mentorship: supervise one direct report and develop staff capabilities.
