Job summary

Atlanta Humane Society is seeking an Entry-level Stewardship Coordinator to support donor stewardship and direct marketing efforts across Atlanta Humane, Operation Humane, and Remedy. You will help ensure donors receive timely, thoughtful communications and strengthen donor retention.

The role focuses on donors under $1,000 annually, with additional support for recurring donors and broader fundraising initiatives across all three brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in donor stewardship, customer service, fundraising, or related area.
• Strong written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM and fundraising systems experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in donor acknowledgment for gifts under $1,000 with personalized notes and letters.
• Maintain a donor stewardship calendar across the brands to ensure regular, meaningful touchpoints.
• Support donor retention by sharing impact updates and program results.
• Document donor interactions and preferences in the CRM system (Salesforce).
• Assist in generating stewardship and engagement reports for internal use.
• Provide administrative support for recurring donor programs and campaigns.
• Segment donor lists for targeted communications and personalization.
• Support direct mail campaigns across Atlanta Humane, Operation Humane, and Remedy.
