Job summary

Catalight is seeking a Development Specialist to independently manage fundraising initiatives, donor relationships, and related strategies supporting Easterseals Northern California and affiliates. You will collaborate with leadership to optimize donor engagement, sponsorships, and events across California, with travel of 20–25%.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to analyze donor data to drive strategy and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (marketing or communications focus preferred), fundraising, or related field; or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in non-profit fundraising, development, relationship management, event planning, or related field.
• Independent project management and donor relationship experience with general supervision.
• Experience analyzing information, evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations on development matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising and stewardship initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Evaluate opportunities and advise leadership on priorities, sponsorships, and events.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising events from concept to evaluation.
• Generate regular reports and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Maintain accurate donor information and collaborate across Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
