Job summary

Save-A-Pet is seeking a Development and Marketing Coordinator to support fundraising efforts, events, and donor relations. You will manage budgets, coordinate volunteers, and collaborate with the Development Manager to drive community engagement.

The role focuses on event planning, online campaigns, and communications across social media channels, WordPress, and Canva to promote Save-A-Pet’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Communications or related field.
• Must have at least three years of experience in development, fundraising, and marketing/social media with one to two years working with volunteers.
• Knowledge of not-for-profit organizations is preferred.
• The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the overall responsibilities of development, fundraising, and marketing.
• Proven ability to organize and implement special events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Act as SAP liaison to fundraising committees when requested.
• Oversee data entry and gift processing and develop budget scenarios for activities.
• Plan and execute annual fund initiatives and events, including 5K and raffles.
• Create event pages and manage online store inventory, payments and reports.
• Manage donor relations, communications, and monthly reporting for Guardian Angel program.
• Coordinate social media, marketing, press releases, and newsletters for Save-A-Pet.
