Job summary

The Environmental Defense Fund, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator, Member Relations & Development Operations in a hybrid role based out of the Washington, DC office.

The role supports donor retention, recurring revenue, and operational excellence across Membership, Development, and program teams. You will manage sustainer operations, assist senior Development leaders, and coordinate meetings, travel, and logistics for governance and Mission Briefings, with a two-year contract and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with at least 3 years in donor relations or membership services.
• Experience supporting recurring donor programs preferred.
• Experience supporting senior leaders or cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage calendars, travel, and meetings for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary escalation point for complex member communications and donor cases.
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel, and logistics for leadership meetings.
• Support the administration of the monthly sustainer program and related workflows.
• Track action items and support follow-through on priorities and initiatives.
• Foster inclusive donor engagement and cross-team collaboration.
