Schedule/Hours: M – F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week)
Position Overview
This position is responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the donor program, including donor records, benefits for mid-level and major donors, donor inquiries, correspondence, and acknowledgments.
- Working in close partnership with the Director of Development and Area Commander to enhance donor relationships and increase support through marketing and event-specific avenues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages donor database systems (Interchange and Power BI); obtains, inputs, and updates pertinent donor information; records changes and makes necessary deletions; prepares routine and special donor activity reports; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
- Produces acknowledgment letters, invitations, and specialized pieces for stewardship, cultivation and solicitation.
- Researches and references database records in order to respond to donor and/or development staff questions.
- Prepares various routine and specialized donor activity reports and communicates with stakeholders via phone calls.
- Works with direct mail vendor to review, provide edits, and approve all direct mail pieces; ensures all communication through direct mail has consistent messaging and meets brand standards.
- Executes efforts strategically by building audiences through the gathering of data from the donor database to assess prospects, create prospect lists and coordinate prospect review; works closely with the Director of Development to implement strategies that support ongoing event and donor management efforts.
- Plans, directs and coordinates all aspects of benefits program, recognition and stewardship events for donors to include invitations to special events and appreciation gifts.
- Performs other related work as required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to type and keypunch information into a computer.
- Duty primarily performed seated; may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
- Work in a normal office environment with minimal physical discomforts associated with weather or environmental factors.

What We Are Looking For In You
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years’ experience performing administrative work in a customer service setting, and experience operating/maintaining a computer database.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
