Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Donor Recruitment Specialist to support the Manager of Donor Recruitment and coordinate mobile blood drives at our facilities and drives.

You'll create donor reports, maintain donor records, assist with mass mailings, and help ensure a positive total donor experience through donor appreciation activities while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises donor center general secretarial/clerical staff and directs the activities of the donor room front desk.
  • Coordinates mobile and in-house blood drives with the Mobile Team Manager and Donor Room Team Manager. Ensures adequate staffing on blood drives and timely transport back to the main facility for processing.
  • Formats information from mobile drive accounts for monthly reports.
  • Maintains Donor Recruitment web page. Registers donors promptly and keeps donor files orderly and confidential. Performs other clerical duties like directing calls, making photocopies, and preparing 45s for invoice payment as needed.
  • Ensures needed supplies to operate the Donor Room and Mobile are monitored and kept at an established level.
  • Ensures orders are received for collection of product to be shipped; contacts receiving facility as needed.
  • Performs special procedures for designated and autologous donations to be shipped to another facility.
  • Operationalizes the "total donor experience" by implementing what "makes a difference." Encourages the donor to return thank you notes, snacks, donor education, and appreciation.
  • Oversees process of follow-up appreciation notes to all donors (including FTDs) and phone calls to first-time donors.
  • Collaborates in the design of T-shirts and other donor appreciation items, coordinates annual donor appreciation banquet.

Job Summary

The Donor Recruitment Specialist supports the Manager of Donor Recruitment with recruiting activities. Coordinates the details of mobile blood drives. Maintains a donor-friendly, service-oriented atmosphere at facilities and mobile drives. Coordinates mass mailings to current donors using computer resources whenever possible. Supports analytics by creating computer database reports and queries. Creates donor deferral correspondence letters. Supervises front desk clerical activities and staff.
