LifeStream Hemet Donor Center is seeking a Donor Specialist to register donors, interview health histories, perform phlebotomy, and monitor donor recovery in a clinical setting. The role involves blood collection, sample preparation, and careful documentation to ensure safety and compliance, with opportunities to participate in donor recruitment and program promotions.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and a CPR certification, plus relevant phlebotomy or medical certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT/Medical Assistant/CNA or Phlebotomy certification optional.
• One to two years customer service experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification and California Driver’s license required.
• Phlebotomy certification (if applicable) and related training needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer service and conduct donor registration and interviews.
• Perform venipuncture and pre-donation testing (BP, temp, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin).
• Monitor donor recovery and manage adverse donor reactions.
• Prepare samples and ensure proper blood unit handling and transport.
• Maintain daily equipment setup, QC, and documentation records.
• Recruit donors for Blood Bank Programs and promotions.
• Work at different draw locations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to procedures.
