Job summary

Innovative Blood Resources seeks a phlebotomist to screen donors, collect blood, and provide care before and after donation across fixed centers and mobile drives around the Twin Cities. Training is provided, with a variable schedule from 6am to 8:30pm, Monday through Friday and rotating weekends. Location supports Shifts at St.

Paul center for training. The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training or certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to document accurately and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document vitals of presenting donors to determine eligibility.
• Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) in accordance with policies and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and pre/post donation care as needed.
• Assist with setup of community blood drives including safe loading/unloading of mobile units.
• Perform cleaning tasks, including equipment cleaning.
• Ensure accuracy, acceptability, and completeness of documentation to prevent loss of units.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
