Job summary

Carnegie Hill Neighbors seeks a Development Manager to oversee donor data, gifts, memberships, and reporting. You will ensure accurate records, timely acknowledgments, and stewardship across campaigns and events, partnering with the Director of Development & Communications.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, organization, and service orientation, with hands-on experience in donor databases and fundraising operations in a community nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–5 years in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, membership, or donor services.
  • Experience with donor databases (DonorPerfect preferred) and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage donor and membership database records and accuracy.
  • Process memberships, gifts, sponsorships, and event revenue timely.
  • Reconcile fundraising revenue with financial records and reporting.
  • Prepare donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, and renewal notices.
  • Coordinate membership renewals and lapsed-member outreach.
  • Generate regular fundraising and donor reports for leadership.
