Job summary

Northern Forest Center is seeking a Donor and Investor Relations Officer to mobilize philanthropic and investment capital across the Northern Forest region. The role focuses on major gifts, impact investments, and campaigns, working with senior leadership and volunteers to expand support and regional engagement.

Based in a hybrid/remote model with travel to Maine and New Hampshire, the officer will expand the Center’s donor network, manage events, and develop stewardship plans aligned with the

Qualifications

• Strong ability to engage and build trust with high-net-worth individuals, business leaders, professional advisors, foundations, and community stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, negotiating, or closing five to seven-figure commitments, investments, or partnerships.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and donor engagement best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite is required.
• Working knowledge of Asana project management software or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of approximately 150 active donors and investors capable of multi-year gifts or investments.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of major donor and impact investment opportunities.
• Identify and engage high-capacity individuals and institutions across the region (Maine, NH, Greater Boston).
• Partner with leadership and volunteers to increase active major gift and investment prospects.
• Lead donor stewardship plans, proposals, updates, and event invitations.
• Travel frequently across the assigned region to cultivate donors and prospects.
• Collaborate on strategy and messaging for funds, campaigns, and annual giving.
• Develop reports and materials incorporating donor input with fundraising teams.
