Job summary

CSL Vifor seeks a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, perform medical history reviews, and determine donor suitability in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive tests, following SOPs, and escalating critical cases to physicians or local medical services as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or certified in the relevant state.
• Minimum of one year in a health care environment.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• Answer medically related questions and advise staff on donor suitability with Center Medical Director.
• Review test results and assess donor symptoms affecting continued donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive tests and refer for follow-up.
