Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. seeks a Donor Center Technician I to evaluate donors’ eligibility for automated plasmapheresis, administer approved immunizations, and provide limited emergency care in line with state regulations and SOPs.

The role requires knowledge across center operations, adherence to cGMP and regulatory guidelines, and collaboration with the center physician and team to maintain donor safety and center quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current state license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent as allowed by state).
• State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions.
• Review and document donor information, immunization records, and test results.
• Classify donors into programs and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Consult with center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results and eligibility concerns.
• Counsel deferred donors and refer to health departments when needed.
• Maintain documentation such as logs and eligibility assessments.
• Train as Donor Center Technician I and serve as QA backup.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer.
• Support center compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team to ensure donor-focused environment.
