Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Donor Center professional to evaluate donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis and manage immunizations per state regulations and SOPs. The role includes supervision of immunizations, emergency care as licensed, and ensuring cGMP and regulatory compliance.

You will review donor data in NexLynk, classify donors, and communicate with physicians on abnormal results. Training as Donor Center Technician I and mentoring others are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program.
• Current CPR certification.
• State license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent as allowed by state).
• One year of hospital or field care experience or plasma center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system (NexLynk).
• Classify donors into appropriate programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training and licensure.
• Consult with the center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer to support workforce development.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
