Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Donor Evaluation Specialist to assess donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and escalate complex cases to the Center Physician.

CPR certification is required and experience in regulated healthcare environments is preferred. Graduates from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic programs are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• Foreign graduates must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT.
• For NY: current state licensure or certification as RN, MD or DO.
• Minimum of one year of relevant health care experience.
• Experience in plasma/whole blood collection center or regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.
• CPR Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and conduct medical history reviews for donation suitability.
• Assist with donor questions and inform staff about donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess symptoms.
• Counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
