Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco is seeking a Development Manager to advance its fundraising program and donor engagement. You will help manage donor systems, support individual giving and major donor cultivation, and coordinate campaigns and events to grow contributed revenue.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, grants, events, or related work.
• Experience supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events.
• Strong writing skills for donor-facing materials, emails, reports, and campaigns.
• Strong project management and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Experience using donor databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, or other tracking systems.
• Ability to collaborate across program, finance, leadership, and communications staff.
• Comfort in a growing department with evolving systems.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen donor pipeline and manage donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Prepare briefing materials, donor histories, talking points, and follow-up tracking for meetings.
• Engage higher-capacity donors through preparation, tracking, and follow-through.
• Draft and manage donor correspondence, acknowledgments, emails, and reminders.
• Segment donors by giving level, geography, and history to inform outreach.
• Execute annual and year-end giving campaigns and campaigns for targeted donors.
• Maintain donor data, reports, and dashboards to inform fundraising decisions.
• Develop donor-facing materials and ensure they are aligned with CYC’s voice.
• Plan and manage fundraising events, sponsorships, and post-event follow-up.
