Job summary

The ASU Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to implement a comprehensive annual and donor stewardship program in support of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. You will cultivate gifts up to $25,000 and build a strong donor pipeline in coordination with Cronkite and ASUF teams.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, you’ll design targeted solicitation strategies, manage events, and produce persuasive proposals and case statements to secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or currently enrolled.
• 1–3 years of successful development experience.
• Proven ability to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations.
• Ability to plan long- and short-range development initiatives with strategic plans.
• Experience managing events and complex activities in support of development objectives.

Responsibilities

• Engage donors, alumni, parents, volunteers and staff to secure gifts up to $25,000.
• Develop strategies linking donor interests to giving opportunities.
• Strategize with team on engagement, solicitations, events, and stewardship.
• Connect donors to ASU through events and engagement opportunities.
• Coordinate joint solicitation efforts and align marketing for development programs.
• Produce tailored proposals and case statements for gifts.
• Support annual giving appeals and stewardship campaigns.
• Assist Endowment Board engagement and volunteer management.
• Plan the Walter Cronkite Award fundraising event.
• Move donors into the major gift pipeline via prospect management systems.
• Coordinate special projects for the Senior Director of Development.
