Job summary

Jobtailor in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a development professional to manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and execute strategic fundraising programs. You will cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts while tracking activity in Raiser's Edge NXT.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, regular portfolio reviews, and advancement of annual giving and planned giving initiatives. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least four years of fundraising experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing donor portfolios and individual giving programs, including annual giving and appeals.
Experience with digital and direct-response fundraising.
Experience using donor database/CRM systems to track donor activity and portfolio progress.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to build strong relationships with donors, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
Ability to develop creative, strategic approaches to donor engagement, retention, and upgrading.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
Occasional local travel to donor meetings, events, and other Conservancy activities will be required.
Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT and Luminate preferred

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 mid-level donors and prospects giving $250-$1,996 annually.
Lead a structured qualification process for the portfolio.
Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
Personally solicit donors for new, renewed, and increased gifts.
Maintain consistent donor contacts, meetings, solicitations, and stewardship activities.
Meet annual revenue, retention, upgrade, and portfolio performance goals.
Incorporate planned giving conversations into donor relationships when appropriate.
Document donor activity, next steps, and outcomes in Raiser's Edge NXT.
Participate in regular portfolio review meetings.
Develop and execute annual giving strategies across direct mail, email, online, and other digital channels.
Establish donor acquisition, retention, renewal, upgrading, and revenue goals.
Segment donor audiences and develop strategies and messaging based on donor data and behavior.
Coordinate fundraising appeals and donor communications with internal teams and external vendors.
Monitor campaign performance and donor trends to improve annual giving strategies.
Test messaging, segmentation, timing, and giving channels.
Move annual fund donors into mid-level, major gift, and planned giving pipelines.
Perform duties under the general supervision of the Director of Individual Giving.
